Jens Lehmann might face a stint on the sidelines after picking up a painful ankle injury in Germany's 4-2 victory over Costa Rica.
The Arsenal goalkeeper, who was beaten twice by former Derby, Manchester City and West Ham striker Paulo Wanchope, received treatment in the first half before getting taped during the break.
The 36-year-old admitted he was uncertain about the extent of the injury.
'I twisted my ankle and I am in pain,' Lehmann said after the match. 'I don't know how bad it is. We will see.'
Lehmann celebrated his World Cup debut in the backyard of rival Oliver Kahn, who was deprived of his number one status less than three months ago.
'Even the supposedly bad Munich fans treated me well,' added Lehmann. 'I think it was a very entertaining issue. I really enjoyed the atmosphere.
'We could have done better defensively but that is up for the coaches to analyse.
'It was a good start to the tournament.' please don't copy and paste articles..
Thanks a lot
