路透紐約電---多倫多猛龍(暴龍)主帥米切爾(Sam Mitchell)周二獲選為NBA年度最佳教練。他本季率猛龍首次在大西洋賽區封王，並取得平隊史紀錄的47勝。
在米切爾的執教下，猛龍的勝場較2005-06賽季(27勝55負)增加了20場，成為全聯盟進步最大的球隊。
米切爾獲得389分，包括49張第一名選票。這個獎項由美國和加拿大128名體育記者及播報員投票選出。
猶他爵士主帥斯隆(Jerry Sloan)以301分排名第二(39張第一名選票)，達拉斯小牛的埃弗里約翰遜(Avery Johnson)以268分位居第三(28張第一名選票)。
米切爾也成為猛龍隊史首位榮獲此獎的教頭，他在執教猛龍的三年中取得107勝139負的戰績。球員時代的米切爾曾在NBA征戰13年。
猛龍在周六的東部首輪季後賽首戰以91-96不敵新澤西籃網，第二戰在周二進行。

Ellis edged Sacramento's Kevin Martin by three points in the closest voting in the award's history, earning 47 first-place votes and 352 points from a media panel. Martin, the Kings' high-scoring guard, got 44 first-place votes and 349 points.

Ellis improved a lot but he is not always starting plus he didn't play as many games as deron i think :help:
