it may sound inappropriate, but he has a point....
this team is not exactly deep to compete against an elite team.....
if they get a good draft pick.... the chance of improving the team is greater...
to be honest.. the washington team is getting old....
Arenas, Jamison and Butler are not getting younger and they are not even one of the top teams in the east....

Yeah but the thing is, WIZ would have a chance if it wasn't because he's injured? I'm sure they can make a run for the playoff with Butler + AJ and Arenas.

Of course, they can compete with those 3 playing together and healthy....
but this is the year where a lot of players are hurting again.... Daniels is hurting, Haywood is gone for the season...
and Arenas is not close enough to return..... it will be hard for the Wizards to bounce back even if Arenas returns by Jan....
they will be in such a deep hole, and it will be hard to recover.....
i think Arenas's point is if they are still losing when he returns, they are better off getting first pick to improve the team next year than not making the playoffs and getting another mid round draft pick.....
