Iverson, although happy with some parts of the team, is far from excited about
the roster presently assembled. He isn't happy about being part of a rebuilding
project in his ninth season in the league.

"He wants to win now," one source close to Iverson said. "This is not about him
being interested in leaving the Sixers or the fans in Philadelphia. He loves it
here and loves being here. But the bot--- line is that he doesn't want to be
here if this team isn't trying to win right now.

"It's no secret [the Sixers] are mediocre, that he has no secondary offensive
option to help him out. And by the looks of things, he isn't about to get any
help, either. At some point, you start asking yourself, 'What else can I do?'
A.I. has done that. Now he's flat-out asked the Sixers, 'If you can't make this
situation any better, after all I've done, can you please at least do me a favor
and get me out of here?' "

King, clearly perturbed when asked about the subject, had little to say: "I
talked with Allen extensively and I'm not about to comment on what was said or
what will come of it."

Iverson confirmed that his agent met with King to express unhappiness with the
Sixers' current set of circumstances: "Go ahead. Say what you have to say."

Considering that the Sixers are still wondering whether they'll even qualify for
the playoffs, Iverson's patience has clearly been exhausted. And who knows how
annoyed he'll get once the NBA's Feb. 24 trading deadline comes and goes and the
Sixers have done nothing?

There were rumors that Keith Van Horn and Joe Smith could have come to
Philadelphia weeks ago for "Big Dog" Glenn Robinson and Corliss Williamson. In
recent days, there was speculation that Latrell Sprewell could end up here for
Robinson if the Sixers were willing to part with Willie Green as well, which
they were not.

And for those who believe either deal would qualify as a remedy to the Sixers'
problems, I'll join Iverson in asking, "What world are you living in?"

The bad thing about this whole fiasco-in-waiting is that the Sixers will be
pretty ticked off with Iverson. The good news is that Iverson couldn't care less.

He says he's been upset with coach Jim O'Brien for weeks for what are perceived
as mind games played to the detriment of Green, Samuel Dalembert, Kenny Thomas,
Marc Jackson and others; and for O'Brien's private assertion that Iverson could
be doing more to help this team win. But Iverson also has been fuming over the
frequent presence of former interim coach Chris Ford at games and practices.

The former three-time scoring champion, one-time league MVP and 2004-05 scoring
leader doesn't appreciate seeing Ford, with whom he had numerous run-ins last
season, walking around as a member of the organization, its pro-personnel scout.

"I can tell you this," another of Iverson's friends said, "A.I. does not like
that man. He felt totally disrespected by [Ford] throughout last season. And for
the Sixers to presently have him employed with the organization, allowed to walk
around, sitting in suites with Billy King, acting as if nothing ever happened,
is extremely insulting to A.I. He talks about it every single day."

不過睇完呢段野之後
我又睇多一段
佢想係 76ers 結束職業生涯....................

Allen Iverson says he wants to play the rest of his
career with the Philadelphia 76ers.

"I want to be right here," Iverson said after Tuesday's practice. "If I
could have a wish, I would wish it's the last time I have to say that. I
would wish people would know this is where I want to be."

Iverson was responding to a story in Tuesday's edition of The
Philadelphia Inquirer that said his agent met with Sixers president
Billy King last week to express the star guard's unhappiness over the
direction of the team and that he wanted to be traded if there weren't
roster upgrades.

King did meet with Iverson's agent, Leon Rose, but insisted Tuesday he
does not have an unhappy All-Star on his team.

"He never asked to be traded and he does not want to be traded," King
said.

Iverson, a three-time scoring champion who was voted to the All-Star
team for the sixth time, is enjoying perhaps the best season of his
nine-year career. He scored a career-high 60 points against Orlando on
Saturday and followed that up with 38 points against New York on Monday,
boosting his league-leading scoring average to 29.9.

He's carried a young team to a 26-26 record and a share of first place
with Boston in the Atlantic Division.

"I don't want to be a distraction on this team," Iverson said. "If there
are any distractions on this team, I don't want Allen Iverson's name
involved in it, period."

Iverson confirmed part of the newspaper story -- that he was bothered
the Sixers kept former interim coach Chris Ford as a scout. Ford and
Iverson battled for most of the final 30 games of last season, including
a dispute in which Iverson refused to come off the bench in Toronto
after he was told he wasn't going to start.

Ford was not at practice Tuesday, but is at most home games and is often
in the locker room before games.

"I honestly have a problem with it, deep down inside," Iverson said.
"Why wouldn't I? I went through a lot with that man last year and it was
tough on me, it was tough on my career, it was tough on my family and
friends."

thx brother kyleung's "research"
didn't know abt the inside story of A.I.
thought he's just cocky
good, more respect for him
didn't think of him this loyal...
but...again...
w/o a ring...
what do they look back in their their career....
(while they are in their millions dollars house, a whole dozen of hot rides, beauiful wife(s) "if they would stay after, not just 呃$$$"):lol::lol:

crap 發表於 2005-2-18 12:24 AM

probably Kobe....
he got the ability and selfish enough to reach that...

the one after Kobe would be James..
what he needs to do is to extend shooting range to get some 3s
lets hope he won't get injured in the future..

i eliminated the others for 3 reasons...

VC, Pierce  -- the have been the go-to-guy for many years already... if they could do that.. they should have done it already...... BUT, VC got a better chance coz he got Kidd now, hope that helps..

Amare, O'neal -- free throw accuracy may affect their possibility to reach 60, further, they are inside players, which may got more fouls and playing time will be less..

Dirk,Allen,Wade, francis -- like what Bro. Brightlee mentioned, they got others to share the points...

by the way...
can anyone tell me why KG can't score much in real life?

brightlee 發表於 2005-2-18 08:50 AM

KG???
look at the lineup in T'wolves ....
could someone pass the ball to him now?!
NO!!!

Sam Cassel was a good PG.. but he's starting to be slow......

that's why you may ask why Ewing wasn't scored 60 in his career..
firstly, look at the rest of the players in the team.....

Amare.... em.. his free throw is getting better now.. so..... he has chances to get 60....

herothree 發表於 2005-2-19 04:30 PM

KG is not really a scoring machine like many are
so i really really don't see him doing 60 anytime soon...or ever
(maybe if he get like 20 o.reb then tips it back in...maybe...)

haha
and bro. "crap" said it right...u have to be selfish ENOUGH 2 get that...
so properly not KG
he just wanna win (or hate to lose)
so he will never be THAT selfish

crap 發表於 2005-2-20 06:56 AM

thx bro. Brightlee and Herothree for answering my ques..:D

i agree that KG's not selfish, but then when his team's in deep ......poo, like what the Wolf's facing at the moment, he should stand out and to be 'selfish', that's what the fans want him to do... no time for triple double....like 30,15,10...... what they prefer would be 55 15 0... just like what AI's doing (well.. he's doing that all the time...)
like what Spiderman's uncle told him b4 he died.. something like "the more power u have the more responsibility u got"... (i cant remember the lines...sorry..)

for having someone to pass the ball to him, i think KG can do it by himself if he's around 15 feet... just a simple pass to him would be fine... i do think he should take more shots..

herothree 發表於 2005-3-2 12:13 PM

you're welcome

and iverson just scored 48 again tonight

man...he's a pure scoring machine (with 8 ast too...haha)

brightlee 發表於 2005-3-2 12:25 PM

yes yes... hahaha.. Webber is just around 16 points per game only.. hahahhaha

kyleung 發表於 2005-3-21 10:07 AM

Oh my God
KINGS JAMES SCORES 56 today
but lost ......

Nets won Pacers
their playoff light is still on!!
go nets!! go carter!!

brightlee 發表於 2005-3-21 10:12 AM

yes, so surprised that he scored 56 points!!

but I don't think Nets will be in playoff
to be honest, non-playoff team is good for them
they could draft a better big man in this case.

kyleung 發表於 2005-3-21 10:18 AM

being a #8 seed is nearly the same as being a #9 or #10........?
i'd choose playoff

and Krstic is not that bad
give him some days to improve

haha

well, other brother might say it's betta for the nets not to make it to the playoffs
for they need to draft betta inside guys
but u know what
i dont' give a da*n
just wanna watch more carter
plus that guys is hungry for playoffs
he'll jump over more than one guy or the WHOLE team if to get there
so can't wait

hero3

supa fan of VC

crap 發表於 2005-3-22 02:45 AM

wahahaha, lets hope 76ers and Nets quilify for playoff together (otherwise the one to be kicked away would be 76ers if Nets make it....:P)

i wanna see AI more as well...
he doesn't have much time left.......
i think he's another great player who's gonna end up without a ring......
hope he won't do stupid things like Malone/ Payton did...:)

herothree 發表於 2005-3-22 12:40 PM

i don't see them trading iverson...anytime soon
or ....ever...

crap 發表於 2005-3-23 03:14 AM

it would be great to see AI stays in Philadelphia for the rest of his career as a fans of his...
so i dun hv to reconsider whether i support the team/ the player..........

it happened to me... i became a fans of a team (soccer) for years because of 1 player i like, but then he got sold... then i dunno whether to follow or not.. haha

kyleung 發表於 2005-3-23 06:30 PM

hey guys i just check their coming games
i found that Cavaliers' are very hard and they have 10 away games ( 7 home)
i think they'll fall down very soon ...........
