Originally posted by buengland at 2006-7-13 03:50 PM:

Heinze happy at United
Manchester United left back Gabriel Heinze says he has no interest in leaving the Old Trafford club.
The Argentina international pledged his loyalty to The Red Devils after being linked with a return to Spain this summer.
The former Newell's Old Boys, Real Valladolid, and Paris Saint Germain defender has been linked with a £10 million move to Real Madrid, while fresh reports suggest UEFA Champions League holders Barcelona are also interested in Heinze.
Despite the interest from Spain, the South American talent is keen to repay United and manager Sir Alex Ferguson for supporting him through the serious knee injury that sidelined him for much of last season.
"I'm settled in Manchester and haven't thought about leaving Old Trafford," Heinze told The Sun.
"I've heard about the interest in me from Spain and I'm proud to hear a club like Real Madrid are thinking of me.
"It's a great compliment and would make any professional happy.
"But United and the coach stood by me when I had a knee injury last season and couldn't play and, if they want me to continue, that is what I will do."

RONALDO: I'LL FACE THE MOB
'I have no reason to leave United'
CRISTIANO RONALDO last night made a sensational U-turn and claimed he is ready to face the Premiership fans and return to Manchester United.
The Portugal winger said: "I have no reason to leave the club. There are possibilities for me to continue at Manchester United."
Reds boss Sir Alex Ferguson, in a statement, told Ronaldo he has no chance of quitting Old Trafford - before preparing a £34million double swoop for Spain World Cup striker Fernando Torres and Spurs midfielder Michael Carrick. The United statement read: "There is no possibility of Cristiano being sold. Cristiano recently signed a new contract until 2010 and the club fully expects him to honour it.

"The club will not listen to any offers for Cristiano. He is one of the brightest young stars in world football as demonstrated by his performances at the World Cup and Manchester United is not in the business of selling its best young players."
Ronaldo made himself Public Enemy No.1 during the World Cup for his part in getting Old Trafford team-mate Wayne Rooney sent off.
He then claimed he was desperate to leave Old Trafford and move to Real Madrid after attacking Ferguson for not supporting him.
But United moved yesterday to insist they will not sell Ronaldo and Ferguson is determined to strengthen his squad with an ambitious double swoop for Torres and Carrick.
That came as Ronaldo, now on holiday in Madeira, opened the door for the first time to the possibility of staying at United even after his Manchester home was attacked in the wake of his World Cup bust-up.
Ronaldo, 21, said: "Everything is open. If it is a question of staying it will be fine, if I leave it will also be fine.
"I have no reason to leave the club. They have always supported me, they always gave me guarantees of being able to evolve as a player.
"There are possibilities for me to continue at United but there are other possibilities as well. There is still nothing concrete."
United chief executive David Gill and the player's agent Jorge Mendes are now due to meet in the next 24 hours.
Ronaldo's uncertain future has left Ferguson facing one of the biggest tests of his reign with striker Ruud van Nistelrooy also set to leave.
But United are now determined to back their manager financially to ensure that they do not lose ground on champions Chelsea.
Ferguson has targeted Atletico Madrid star Torres. The player wants to join AC Milan but United may steal their man if the Italian giants are relegated later this week for their part in the Serie A matchfixing scandal.
United have also been chasing Tottenham's England midfielder Carrick and hope to tie up a £14m deal next week after going back with an improved offer.
Ferguson believes Carrick can be the central midfielder that they have been searching for and Tottenham are now holding out for a bigger price after turning down an initial £10m offer.
Originally posted by harvey22 at 2006-7-13 16:19:

神又係佢..鬼又係佢!!! Scholes over eye problem
Paul Scholes says he has suffered no further reaction to the eye problem that ruled him out for four months at the end of last season.
The 31-year-old midfielder made his comeback against Charlton on the final day of the season, but he hadn't played since 28 December before that after being forced to rest due to a serious eye complaint.
There had been fears that the Salford-born Red would not be the same player. However, now in training for the new season, Scholes is positive about his future.
”I’m happy with my progress," he told MUTV. "We’ve been back seven or eight days and I’ve had no problems so the future looks good."
Scholes is expecting a tougher than usual pre-season because of his lack of games since the turn of the year. But that has merely enhanced his hunger to return to playing regularly.
"It will probably take a bit longer than normal to get match fit," he said. "I've not played that much in the last six or seven months but I’m feeling ok and looking forward to getting playing games again."
軒斯否認轉會皇馬傳聞 留效曼聯報答球會
Gabriel Heinze has ruled out talk of a move to Real Madrid because he wants to repay United for sticking by him during a season out injured. The news comes as a welcome boost for the Reds, the day after the club issued a stern statement stating there is "no possibility" of Cristiano Ronaldo leaving the club.
"I'm settled in Manchester and haven't thought about leaving Old Trafford," Heinze told The Sun newspaper.
"I've heard about the interest in me from Spain and I'm proud to hear a club like Real Madrid are thinking of me.
"It's a great compliment and would make any professional happy."
Gabby, who damaged knee ligaments in United's Champions League draw with Villarreal back in September 2005, says he has a debt of honour to Sir Alex.
"United and the coach stood by me when I had a knee injury last season and couldn't play and, if they want me to continue, that is what I will do."
Heinze is due to report back for pre-season training at United's Carrington training headquarters on 24 July.

Real beat Bayern to Ruud signature
Real Madrid have beaten Bayern Munich to the signature of Manchester United hitman Ruud van Nistelrooy, according to reports from Spain.
The Dutch striker has been linked with both the Spanish giants and German champions Bayern in recent days.
But according to Spanish daily Marca, a move to La Liga now looks likely for the out-of-favour United forward.
The paper says van Nistelrooy has almost agreed personal terms with Real and says the transfer fee - if United agree to the deal - could be 15million Euros (around £11million).
Van Nistelrooy spent the final three months of last season mostly warming the Old Trafford bench after losing his place for the Carling Cup final defeat of Wigan.
And then he struggled to find his best form as Holland's World Cup bid ended in a second-round defeat by Portugal.
Originally posted by kakeidevil at 2006-7-13 18:52:
