Manchester United are willing to sell Giuseppe Rossi, according to Parma president Tommaso Ghirardi.
The Gialloblu have already made an offer for the Italian striker, who had a successful spell on loan with the Italian club last season.
Rossi may be surplus to requirements should United complete the signing of Argentina international striker Carlos Tevez.
Parma have not wasted any time in trying to take the 20-year-old hit-man back to the Stadio Ennio Tardini over the summer.
Ghirardi is waiting to hear back from The Red Devils whether they have been successful in their bid for Rossi, but remains hopeful of landing his man.
"Manchester United have put Giuseppe Rossi up for sale," Ghirardi told Italian press.
"Two days ago we spoke with Red Devils officials and they told us the player is for sale.
"At that point we made an offer. Now we are waiting for an answer."

West Ham striker Carlos Tevez has said that he would be delighted to move to United if rumours of a transfer turn out to be true.

Carlos Tevez's representatives claim the West Ham striker has agreed personal terms with Manchester United.
The Hammers attempted to play down talk of the Argentina international moving to Old Trafford on Friday evening by stating that they expect him to be part of their preparations for the new season.
West Ham chairman Eggert Magnusson also insisted that the Upton Park club would have to agree to let Tevez leave this summer.
But in response, Tevez's agent Kia Joorabchian says the former Corinthians ace has already been given permission to talk to other clubs and filter-004ions have taken place with United.
Joorabchian claims the 23-year-old has now agreed a deal which should see him join the Premier League champions in the coming days.

曼聯落實廣州之行
曼聯官方正式宣佈已經落實七月尾到訪廣州之行。比賽將會於七月二十七日於廣州的廣東奧林匹克運動場舉行，球場能夠容納八萬觀眾。
「我們十分高興可以再次於中國球迷面前獻技，巡迴表演賽的目的是希望答謝遠方的忠實球迷。」曼聯行政總裁基爾說。
七月二十七日原本是曼聯到訪馬來西亞的日子，但由於賽期與亞洲杯相撞而被亞洲足協干涉，因此最後曼聯作出妥協，決定取消大馬之行。
而主辦單位之一 ProEvents 主席金偉明先生則表示，預計中國大陸及香港的球迷都會對賽事十分感興趣。
「曼聯毫無疑問是中國最多球迷的球會，數以百萬計球迷每星期都會收看他們的賽事，而他們將有機會欣賞曼聯新簽下的數位球星。」金偉明先生說。
「門票將會分為九百、六百和三百元人民幣，學生票則是一百五十元。」
曼聯在七月十七日將會展開亞洲之旅的首站，將會於東京對浦和紅鑽，而二十日則會到韓國對FC首爾，二十三日則會轉赴澳門對深圳上清飲，而二十七日廣州站則是最後一天的亞洲之旅。
