but it's like a trend for famous club...as they have sufficient quality players to play all matches, there's no point to take risk to train youngster in league matches...
that's why you can see Big teams sent out loads of youngsters in league cup, early rounds of FA cup against lower league teams or some really not important matches (such as matches after you crowded with champions, or you have proceeded to next round of cup competition..)
Like Mickey Owen, Beckham, Scholes, Neville Brothers, Paloschi (from Milano), Balotelli (from Inter)...they could only have chances to shine in the first team, it's mainly because of injuries to starters, condition problems or departure of star players...
Unless the youngster could play with flying colors like Rooney, Messi when they were in reserve team, or else you could only be a bench warmer or being sent out to lower league teams to gain experience...
大家都話united 冇比機會自己d青訓，但係又有冇諗過，如果出青訓，自然會打得冇咁好，可能拎唔到league 同其他盃(arsenal 係一個好例子，佢地巳經連續3年4大皆空)，係球會角度諗，自然係買人，keep 住好result 啦

I think is not Man Utd lose 2 points but actually gain 1 point.
For those veterans, use them accordingly. Everyone knows Blackburn is a very physical team.
So, why put 2 veterans there? One is enough. I prefer Scholes over Giggs.
I can see the trend now where if SAF plays Giggs, Man Utd always struggling.
I mean experiences always important in any matches but physically, Giggs is worst than Scholes.
You see, Giggs already becomes corner taker for 15 years still he hardly produces winning corners.
Even Hagreaves or Nani can take better corner.
