Manchester United beat South China 2-0 in Hong Kong with goals from strikers Teddy Sheringham and Andy Cole.
Sheringham staked his claim for a place in Sir Alex Ferguson's starting line-up for the Charity Shield clash against Arsenal at Wembley on Sunday week with a 22nd-minute goal.
Strike partner Cole added a second five minutes later as United dominated the first half.
United were not able to increase their lead in the second half as South China held them in front of 40,000 fans at the Hong Kong Stadium.
United, missing David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Roy Keane, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Nicky Butt, were never threatened in a match amounting to little more than a training exercise.
Even without their big names, United were able to field a side valued at around £40million. Their opponents, used to playing in one of the weakest leagues in Asia in front of couple of thousand fans, are valued at around £350,000.
The gulf in class was evident as United stroked the ball around at leisure, not over-exerting themselves in the fierce tropical heat and humidity.
Sheringham finished off a low cross whipped in from the right wing by Cole, slamming the ball home.
Then Cole struck after a swift breakout from midfield. Jordi Cruyff swept forward and passed to Sheringham who squared to Cole for an easy side-footed finish.
United's new goalkeeper Mark Bosnich had just one save to make, tipping over a dipping long-range shot from Chan Chi-hong shortly before the break.
In the second-half United gave run-outs to youngsters Michael Clegg, Jonathan Greening and Mark Wilson.
Dwight Yorke went close 13 minutes from time but United were unable to add to their tally.
The Old Trafford giants have won all four of their tour matches. They beat Australia twice in Melbourne and Sydney before defeating Chinese League leaders Shanghai Shenhua 2-0 last Wednesday.
United fly back to England on Sunday.
