Mt`2yg8i nikon has a 50 mm F1.8.... for CAD $180 (metal lense mount).

D70s with the kit lense (18-70mm) is around CAD$1550.... nikon has a 70-300 lense for $169 at black's. plus an extra battery and a tripod, you are all set....
