Owen's future in the Spanish capital remains unclear, despite having only spent 12 months with Real.
He has been linked with a return to The Premiership, although former club Liverpool are purportedly not interested in re-signing the striker.
Chelsea and Manchester United are rumoured to be monitoring the England hit-man's situation at El Santiago Bernabeu, but no bids have been forthcoming.
The 25-year-old endured a fitful debut season with Real as, despite plundering a healthy number of goals, he could not secure a regular starting spot.
With Real hoping to add Robinho to their squad before the start of the new season, Owen could again find his chances limited under coach Wanderley Luxemburgo.
But his Real colleague Beckham has urged Owen not to quit Los Merengues for both personal and professional reasons.
"Michael is a great player and I think he is happy here," said Beckham.
"Obviously, I want him to stay and hope that is what happens because he is a brilliant striker and he is a good friendObviously, I want him to stay and hope that is what happens because he is a brilliant striker and he is a good friend."
Owen, though, is waiting for direction from the club's management as to whether he is wanted by Real for next season.
"It's not my decision," said Owen. "It's up to the president and the directors and the manager.

奧雲忍唔住私通曼聯
(轉貼)奧雲上季在皇馬鬱鬱不得志，一直都有傳佢會離開皇馬。據近日英國傳媒透露，奧雲雖然隨皇馬出國踢表演賽，但就透過中間人聯絡曼聯，表示若想帶佢去奧脫福就快行動。身為職業球員，球隊爭唔到正選位置，當然會唔高興，想走亦係正常，不過奧雲今次搵人與曼聯聯絡，睇離隊決心都真係幾大！==========================================================

唁去皇馬留係利記都係一樣冇正選打= =" 其實ｏｗｅｎ幾合適ｍａｎ ｕｔｄ，一個頂得既雲佬，加個快馬ｏｗｅｎ，後面又有ｓｃｈｏｌｅｓ 或ｒｏｏｎｅｙ，真係唔錯 留隊留隊...支持x2
