"I want a centre back and a right winger. I would like at least two new players, maybe two centre backs but we will have to see how much money we have available.
"We need to sell a player first to pay for Crouch and a new centre back and a right winger. We have possibilities and we will wait and see and be patient."

利物浦領隊賓尼迪斯話英格蘭領隊艾歷臣亂玩殘謝拉特。早前英格蘭國家隊於熱身賽以一比四大敗予丹麥，謝拉特有上陣，賓尼迪斯指艾歷臣用人不分輕重，係唔係都要謝拉特搏殺，間接令該利物浦隊長受傷缺陣今場賽事。
對丹麥踢足全場咁滯
賓尼迪斯表示：「謝拉特做過掃描之後，證實右腳受傷，今晚肯定唔可以上陣。球員容易受傷，原因就係踢得太密。謝拉特要兼顧球會及國家隊，當然特別容易受傷。」
英格蘭作客丹麥輸得肉酸，謝拉特亦顯露疲態，但艾歷臣就遲遲未作出調動，要等到八十四分鐘才把謝拉特調離場。上周英超賽事，利物浦以一比○擊敗新特蘭全取三分，但係就負上沉重代價，謝拉特勇戰受傷，到五十五分鐘就要退下火線。
利物浦除傷兵外，亦傳出轉會消息，馬賽有意收購當家前鋒施斯。施斯季初表現出色，頻頻有波入，早前有傳里昂出價收購施斯，依家馬賽加入戰團，但係利物浦官方表示無意放人。
