Do someone knows how to remove Remote Approach script from PDF files, please post here, or in comments, thanks what I read from the other websites is that the adobe reader is trying to connect to http://www.remoteapproach.com/remoteapproach/logging.asp each time you open a document
I've tried this by myself but from the suggestion of the other people you can add a line to your "hosts" file
(I'm currently using windows server 2000. The host file on my computer is C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\hosts.)
The file itself should look like this:
*********************************************************************
# Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host
127.0.0.1 localhost
********************************************************************
You can use the search feature of your windows. Just type in "hosts" and it should pop out a list of files with the name hosts. Find the right file which is exactly named "hosts".
@@@@Open it with "Notepad" and add a new line
"remoteapproach.com 127.0.0.1"
then your connection should have no problem because this line redirects the adobe reader to connect to your own local computer
