卡路爾外借到打比郡
Rangers goalkeeper Roy Carroll has left Ibrox in order to join up with Premiership strugglers Derby County...
Ex-Manchester United goalkeeper Roy Carroll has signed a short-term loan deal with Derby County, keeping him at Pride Park until the end of the season.
The 30-year-old stopper arrives from Rangers, for whom he played just one competitive match since signing on from West Ham United in the summer.
The Northern Ireland international is new Derby coach Paul Jewell's seventh winter signing so far, and could take the number one jersey ahead of the injured Stephen Bywater and second-choice Lewis Price.
Jewell told DCFC.co.uk, "I'm delighted we have finally got Roy signed up - it's taken longer than I would have liked but I'm sure he will be worth waiting for.
"Roy is a terrific keeper - he's played at the very highest level and I've worked with him briefly before so I know what he's all about."
The two were together at Wigan Athletic, where Carroll spent four seasons as first choice between 1997 and 2001. |
