He just demanded a trade and said he would prefer New York, Orlando or the Lakers. Frankly, I don't see any of them giving up any of their pieces to trade for him.
New York: The only "big" contract they have other than Stoudemire's is Eddy Curry's. And he hasn't played in a couple of years. They would give him up, but will the Hornets accept a trade involving him? Don't think so.
Orlando: They could give up Vince Carter, but he's old. The Hornets are likely to want someone young, promising, along with a few draft picks and expiring contracts. Rashard Lewis? He has 4 years left on his contract.
Lakers: The "tradeable" piece is Bynum. But his presence in the paint with Gasol is important for the Lakers' success. The Lakers could give up Odom as well to get Emeka Okafor, but that's ridiculous. |
