JOSE MOURINHO insisted Chelsea’s amazing win was sweeter than his Champions League triumph at Porto.

He said: “I’m so happy to beat the side supposed to be the best in the world.

"Even after I won the Champions League final with Porto I did not celebrate like I did tonight.

"With Porto we beat Monaco 3-0 and I always knew we were on our way to victory.

“But tonight the game was changing every five minutes and the result was in doubt right up to the whistle.

“There was absolutely no time to breathe and enjoy the moment but this has been an unbelievable night and a magnificent game.

“We were 2-1 down after the first leg against a very good team but the way my players believed in themselves from the start was fantastic.

“We scored four, hit the post and should have scored six or seven. Barcelona scored two and could have had four or five. But the reality is over two legs we’ve scored five and they have four.

“That shows the difference between the teams. Over 180 minutes the best team goes through.

“But the point of the night is not beating Barcelona. The point is getting to the quarter-finals. If we’d gone out we would only have been playing for the Premier League. We want more and it was very important for us to stay in Europe.

“There is nothing personal with Barcelona and I hope they go on to win the Spanish League.

“But I am paid to win and do a job for Chelsea. I take losing personally. Nothing else.”
