nah...shoulder dislocation is a very complicated issue...coz it involves a lot of tendons, liagement and joint capsule...
shoulder joint is the most mobile joint in our body, even bettter range of motion than our hip joint. However, the compensation is the stability. Shoulder joint is the least stabilise joint in our body as well. If the dislocation problem is not treated well, the shoulder will just keep dislocating after a slight impact on it. The situation will only goes worse than before.
after it pops back the head of humerus back into the joint socket, the soft tissues around the joint still takes time to recover...and after being in cast for a period of time...Walcott's cardio fitness and muscles strength of his shoudler will be the problem...and it takes several weeks to train it back...so 16 wks rest is a reasonable estimation~~bear in mind that The Gunnners always enlarge the resting period...turns out Walcott will be playing again after 2 months~~ |
