Personally I would've picked Monta Ellis over Brandon Roy. As a matter of fact, can Brandon Roy even make the All Star Game? He's injured right now and I'm not sure when he can return. Other than that, I'm quite satisfied with the reserves.

I am quite upset Chris Kaman wasn't in All-star game this year.

Also, does Derrick Rose deserve to be all star this year??

Roy should be over Ellis, remember how many injury factor that Blazers have it this year. And when Roy was on the pitch, Blazers kept winning, and they couldn't win nowadays as Roy is injured.

Yes, I think Roy shouldn't play in all-star game.. and I still hope Kaman will replace him, instead Ellis

George Karl will coach the West since they have clinched a record at least the same as Dallas Mavericks and Phil Jackson is unable to coach since he did so last year already. As for Rick Carlisle (Dallas head coach), he coached the East in 2004 which is closer than George Karl's last appearance in 1998. As for the East, we'll have to wait at least a few more games. The head coach of the team with the best record (apart from Mike Brown) through to January 31st gets the job.

Personally I would choose Gasol over Kaman, even putting aside bias (since I'm a Lakers fan). Reasons being that, first of all, Gasol has been so important in the team that it struggles without him. Second, Gasol is just a better player than Kaman and third, the Lakers have the better record.

You have to acknowledge All-star game is a show, it's not really a game. D.Lee is a boring player, so is C.Kaman. They are a good nba players but doesn't do the spectacular things.

Perhaps people want to see Rose to do this again (I know I do):
