I want to leave Anfield - Gerrard

Steven Gerrard has told Liverpool he wants to leave Anfield after turning down a new £100,000-a-week contract.
The 25-year-old captain made his move after Liverpool rejected a £32m bid from Premiership champions Chelsea.

"Steven has told us he will not accept our offer of an improved and extended contract because he wants to leave," a Liverpool club statement read.


This guy says all year that if Liverpool moves in right directions, show ambition, win things, sign top players'..i'l stay

Then he lifted  the biggest trophy of Europe with his captain armband, and it seems to him it is not the "right" direction..

And he is the one who says himself Liverpool has NO chance of winning Champions League before Last 16.

yes, he is a great player, but Liverpool is bigger than him
When Liverpool beated Neverkusen 3-1 at home and
Draw 0-0 with Juventus away, he is not playing, so?
and statistics show Liverpool has higher winning pecentage when he is not the side.

$$$ of Chelsea/Madrid is the right direction I suppose

I would surely wish him "good luck" to the graveyard of football stars
seeing his and Owen's face when Liverpool winning trophy would be fun
