for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

for the extended interview:
, a/ I4 r7 c/ l' k; ]/ _& P8 o9 E0 m+ D# i$ k$ w$ }
it's divided into 2 sections,
) j+ R) w* ]. M1 is impromptu talk9 I& t: j5 E1 J
another is group discusion
" Q% _7 ^) D7 C( a% N& U3 K" Z6 O' }5 E4 A; y  w% O
all conducted in english

) s2 G/ r5 b0 S  O0 w! Ximpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare% c5 B: Z/ u9 t. @: z

topic like "environment, biscuit...."6 Z% ?. E! A( l; u6 ?& x* d

group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion8 t7 M/ H3 j- O' ]) F9 }

4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes

9 w0 ~: S6 w$ ]3 fthe format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!& k9 q5 P! d# s' h  y/ @! \
