for the preliminary interview:

' T, L8 A% g  q" I1 f2 Sthere will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

for the extended interview:

% Z7 V; w! h" q  _0 rit's divided into 2 sections,
# [2 w+ a9 u3 a; W1 is impromptu talk& u3 v5 u/ _* O# [+ H- [) ?' A
another is group discusion/ }8 b3 y; m3 r$ C+ h' p9 u" \

/ [3 M+ b, T9 ]  L4 h4 c! w, j0 p% `all conducted in english2 I" c* ]$ j8 c3 A

impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare& |+ k# e0 M8 B4 e! n$ G3 g

6 X+ O5 R) }" I+ }. i1 |$ E* mtopic like "environment, biscuit...."
  I* e8 o. D+ J! f- D8 I7 x4 s( I
( W9 y8 {7 b  ?group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion5 U  u' ^( z( K" I

for final interview:

4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes2 g0 c7 U. I7 Q

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
