for the preliminary interview:
  }- T: t/ X% O% h7 w! r% u5 m  Y9 e
there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......1 [- c" B, R5 H1 O
* L6 V5 m8 t' U: m8 a  }* o
for the extended interview:6 G6 F( y# R6 U8 e5 V
, F; z/ R8 }0 r  {2 J2 L
it's divided into 2 sections,& t; F& P. ~" W7 A) {* J( e
1 is impromptu talk& O/ Z% P% |% ?: Z4 C
another is group discusion4 w+ _) Z0 L9 L- X* j) a

9 L& j4 |  q: y; w+ zall conducted in english- G! c0 Y: M6 B2 x' I+ N

impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare

topic like "environment, biscuit...."

6 t0 ~- Q$ E' R3 j, Ugroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

for final interview:

" c" Q% \9 X! q  {7 ~2 e4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
