for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

for the extended interview:, m% f' j* O: _+ D
+ e) f& P' Y& W+ b5 i* V) _0 @' Git's divided into 2 sections,

another is group discusion

all conducted in english- d, [ }1 V* r1 [/ z, p4 V
: I& G- D# p& u2 mimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare" H9 M I- g7 E$ m7 @* W

topic like "environment, biscuit...."

, H( ^- b, y9 y9 pgroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

4 o3 v! r% H3 d! V4 Vthe format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
