for the preliminary interview:

% c$ U' t! y0 g: g! gthere will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......
! x8 U) z. E; g* |6 {, P  G( [  L8 ]" f, h& T
for the extended interview:

( [% P9 d/ Y  g8 q% c7 s# \4 S. sit's divided into 2 sections,
4 z( _/ S7 Y6 ^8 G9 r* F1 is impromptu talk1 b! o8 v+ z3 \3 k& f
another is group discusion3 _% W, n7 P0 i% a2 l+ K5 G

# T# ?  t2 s8 }* r) ?8 b( J9 jall conducted in english

impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare" u+ ^4 |. z/ c* p$ P2 }

topic like "environment, biscuit....": u) D/ l. j+ m  r' v. y/ o" ?

2 U: t+ L  E9 l8 @+ Jgroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion4 q: V3 ~( `" S+ i' s" b( \

4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes/ o2 g$ g+ z6 e1 C0 x$ S) P

3 Y- M, l& k: R- Wthe format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
