for the preliminary interview:. }( Q4 r3 Y" ]( u( R, E4 @, G

P8 S/ V7 g" g# pthere will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......3 c( G2 j2 \) `8 {$ W/ E/ d+ q
1 `- i1 q0 |" Q6 n( D; K. W) v
for the extended interview:" L0 |5 F- L9 s7 N: ]0 q, `1 U
+ g# H9 J$ z' c
it's divided into 2 sections,
8 d, E% n$ B# G1 @- h% l. j1 is impromptu talk
- t- ~- `! K' J4 C. p  w3 manother is group discusion- M$ \$ G) W0 S- M4 V& F1 \* ]
3 j3 m6 P# {0 o4 ~+ Z4 E: }" }+ r( I
all conducted in english% l) o# ^5 U9 d# V3 _7 i( v
  g1 C, \9 c  K& E
impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare

3 u% v! P' ]" |+ Ptopic like "environment, biscuit...."

  D7 q2 w9 K. j2 n+ m9 V: v- Rgroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion, L! k  X; V2 f' \  |6 P

4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes! V" r5 |9 ^) n  U7 m2 C4 B

: }; X* P- `8 F2 C% w1 {the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
