for the preliminary interview:4 z4 s' e: m/ l5 b4 R$ T" \5 U$ }

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

for the extended interview:! n/ h! X, p1 f& A

3 r# p( p5 N% b  B; Dit's divided into 2 sections,$ F& ~9 O: O3 w' v( I
1 is impromptu talk1 j& _# s# R+ |, g' x, f( J6 D
another is group discusion

7 F. s9 ~) W4 C$ P' g! h& U, vall conducted in english
+ |" q4 q% j. W8 m8 w/ @* }
; ?/ U- A+ A, K# ~" B3 c; I5 yimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare. s  D  ?+ I" s! l( H4 i

topic like "environment, biscuit...."

group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

% N' B% ]. h, x: S4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes

: n  Y% _1 k2 [: I6 lthe format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
