for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

for the extended interview:

7 Q- u0 `' t! P* z& o3 v2 ]- y- ^5 Vit's divided into 2 sections,$ G/ [1 Z  p4 P. Z9 w% c
1 is impromptu talk
6 ~6 F5 X5 x  \2 V" _another is group discusion) C0 I$ U) {6 Q& T# O2 Y. X- Z
0 I" g- i6 c) ]" z0 V; Z9 a
all conducted in english- ~2 ~5 b' n; L0 p# y1 ?

impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare

topic like "environment, biscuit...."3 F' }% A) X9 i
' w! E4 S/ {% I7 V: d9 _- X
group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion. @4 x# {' K( ]

4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!, E; f# i! N5 c5 k; x( L
+ U" b9 X' m# U. V
