I touch dead bodies all the time...cancer, surgerical, etc./ W R. e) E( S
. f+ r. E" f. B6 @2 z0 T1/2 hr after dead, the body will lose the bounce and starting to feel like cold meat. It's kind of disgusting but after a while I am okay with it.

" p# M" H E# D7 d$ e5 jWhen I touch the deceased, I kept telling myself this is not a person anymore, the person is gone and this (the body) is just the shell. If I know the patient well, I would even quietly say goodbye to him/her before the nurses come and pack him/her up.6 P) u* P( H2 S
( f5 e8 |8 I( C( F& oThe ones with accidents in the ER are really bad, but we're too busy trying to save him/her to pause and think. |
