I touch dead bodies all the time...cancer, surgerical, etc.- v; w6 J' |4 D& N
/ r4 c8 A5 W4 |: L3 o1/2 hr after dead, the body will lose the bounce and starting to feel like cold meat. It's kind of disgusting but after a while I am okay with it.4 ?5 W% x; n) r% V) @' Q
( Z! d8 E3 C5 Z5 f' e& {- MWhen I touch the deceased, I kept telling myself this is not a person anymore, the person is gone and this (the body) is just the shell. If I know the patient well, I would even quietly say goodbye to him/her before the nurses come and pack him/her up.$ M, x6 `. c* W$ Z/ i5 P- n

The ones with accidents in the ER are really bad, but we're too busy trying to save him/her to pause and think. |
