for the preliminary interview:
9 _( n8 V9 B$ Y" H7 d
- W. e( K5 l9 g$ X# Lthere will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

for the extended interview:
/ q  J6 E. @% c# n2 _# x8 B! E! N% x
it's divided into 2 sections,; f# c0 Q0 a# J" y$ t" w0 g; {; q) N1 h
1 is impromptu talk' I% [, S# A$ c& Q* m3 x' {/ U
another is group discusion
" l1 E% w3 x7 k  F% f' V# Z
  U* n. H) B. [* Q: E  q) \all conducted in english( D# B& Z0 g8 R# w- [4 o

  [! F. e* W. P1 B  Q& v0 timpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare$ @; o5 C7 \4 u1 F  P0 _/ `) _+ R

1 n# m- S! U6 t" Y3 Ftopic like "environment, biscuit...."' I* h$ I4 Y/ A) l& ]

- e* Q3 s2 S+ o+ _% O- e) }- fgroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion; G# \- w; W: W0 I* ?

! d. H0 f% h% i5 J2 Y1 l
4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes

) ?8 K# y' i) D, ~. C) fthe format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
