for the preliminary interview:
+ y8 R0 ^4 {" @5 c* {- h' Y) m& [0 W$ c; D, C+ F, ~
there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......
, D$ X% p  v4 `% F) W$ M/ J) H7 y  o( l4 C
for the extended interview:4 n* o2 V- ]7 ?7 a& w0 L: S
" S0 W  T& F/ B: `  f9 o9 k
it's divided into 2 sections," Q: y0 P; R7 n) o. i% ~! f  _# y
1 is impromptu talk
# T$ G! s( b! ianother is group discusion. T3 M6 c$ }; I7 z' [3 }8 V

0 Y9 b* H9 q, \' G9 p# rall conducted in english
/ C* |8 ~0 c  f, o; C2 {# P
0 N' ~! ]( L9 M+ q1 W! K5 Eimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare

! M( s9 f  g1 O/ `3 m' F( Stopic like "environment, biscuit...."

$ `2 j/ v0 t. q6 bgroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes# o! p! m9 s) ~( A. Y

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
