for the preliminary interview:) b# k' I* Z( U) M1 r  i& a

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......: B, r+ v2 P4 Y' s6 B
/ t, ^; C9 l: g& O( x- d
for the extended interview:; a4 N( q, c" i5 M$ G! p- |/ r
8 r. O% _$ @+ W: \2 s2 h; M7 X
it's divided into 2 sections,
4 o% V, m  z  Z' Q, k1 is impromptu talk5 s. O: |2 h: }% V7 F3 |4 o
another is group discusion
" S/ L$ ]$ d- i; L# N
6 O$ O, X- ~0 Y1 N9 L- B( _all conducted in english) R4 p4 M& v. d: t0 ~6 r

# c; p- Q6 J0 d' S% iimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare; O2 m" z) z* }8 S% v4 M5 d
: i& ~( v1 q7 @5 o/ K/ i0 g
topic like "environment, biscuit...."

5 f: |: S7 i2 M) Y7 egroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion  T% u% n- K9 d# B

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!- ?  h% w. |' v; Y# \
