for the preliminary interview:8 l( k. {# G# s; i
& ?# U# X+ K) r+ e" S
there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......0 a. k: u( C! [7 r

for the extended interview:
# C& r. ]8 o' U* S$ E1 L( c3 t) }" \& b( Z! @$ A! S
it's divided into 2 sections,; ]( k5 z! f. j3 i% X6 n- J
1 is impromptu talk! R  J; D2 @9 i. V
another is group discusion
& n5 s% W" f/ l$ E& Z9 _' q0 K5 m9 B9 n0 t- e
all conducted in english
/ a9 g7 Y" @1 X' o: L( V4 i7 o9 X( \
impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare3 H  n6 x7 Z5 S  j" L% P( Z
! z' F1 ]& V+ Y2 I0 d* M" N, I% x% j
topic like "environment, biscuit...."
% D: A* }% N! s- d( V$ l: n
: u9 K; O/ Y6 E% v- }! q+ _9 tgroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion6 e3 D1 _8 q7 G/ l, U

! g! V. I1 T- ^" Nthe format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
