for the preliminary interview:

( O. J% H1 I/ V& Cthere will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

for the extended interview:

, B: A0 i! B% H1 h6 o1 qit's divided into 2 sections,6 A- V2 g- E, v$ g
1 is impromptu talk
/ D) y9 c+ o  o# o9 Zanother is group discusion% }/ v: J9 `. q/ g# m: C; j
5 Q) K, s9 Q* A! ?7 H
all conducted in english# y9 n5 F- H( D9 f

' d; R! b4 h/ c5 W4 gimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare

% t+ a% y4 r& M7 t) p  e* `1 ~topic like "environment, biscuit...."1 e: p% A4 c$ C8 s8 f# u5 N
9 p, v3 K. H0 O
group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes3 \* m, N! e7 ]! y5 B  A4 R

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
