for the preliminary interview:7 S9 Z' A  c* o8 \+ X1 E% t

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

for the extended interview:1 @; \9 c' k4 n  z

! k( G0 Y3 [. u& Rit's divided into 2 sections,) o. u! j) s8 z* F* O
1 is impromptu talk. S3 @+ E1 U. s" P/ H
another is group discusion: \* T: M3 R4 o/ u# l: Y- X

8 M' f/ T$ j; G9 I8 t2 U5 R4 `% w( lall conducted in english) _1 Z6 s" u) P- Z4 R

0 X0 Q5 F  Y6 `- b5 B- \6 B: dimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare  T) p, j4 p/ |4 [* [8 G, V

topic like "environment, biscuit...."
, S/ D5 {. ^4 ~3 ?4 q1 y3 k! v, s& K# }. Q
group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes

: |/ Q9 c3 l1 ~8 v" Fthe format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!" N& Q1 ?& h9 p& e8 v  k0 Z
