for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......5 W: ^3 L# P& D7 O2 H" b

for the extended interview:

1 is impromptu talk& }' M* P. E* G/ R
another is group discusion

impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare" I. z2 H' M( ~9 d
* u1 y: n7 H( U9 N( U3 `4 r& ^' utopic like "environment, biscuit...."" O/ |8 [5 I* t; z" R/ y3 S# O

group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion8 _0 ]/ F$ }; w

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
