for the preliminary interview:6 M9 }( S$ I- C  H4 `- \8 Y+ R

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......! ~) N6 B3 `6 x$ W, {

8 J4 q& ~5 R( u5 n8 M/ g. C2 D+ |2 t. Y. \* u9 H3 ^
it's divided into 2 sections,: z' ~5 R$ t- I6 r
1 is impromptu talk' \; p# d' F7 c2 ^4 V
another is group discusion% B5 ~: b2 y9 |: X1 I

, f$ I  t: b2 j% k* L  hall conducted in english
$ z9 o" c- y8 M$ S" p7 g% o+ b5 @! _( h/ ]+ U" `2 D( c
impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare

& X4 G6 I' C9 g+ w8 {7 Btopic like "environment, biscuit...."

group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

for final interview:

( Y5 f/ R6 {! v( A0 [4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes

. ]+ ?# ~$ [. D1 y. fthe format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!' N( z$ L8 ~1 X6 D( g0 ?$ G
