for the preliminary interview:
" j9 V& B. P: y1 T* u& U( k- m% s9 `
there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

for the extended interview:

) w2 G; l, \& \4 R; s# X% Nit's divided into 2 sections,
( w, e! U; s9 |7 u1 is impromptu talk
$ w2 E. K- U" {: Danother is group discusion- w3 P0 D6 n0 A* b/ ^7 _- ?7 T% m
1 }, x# t  `8 ~( L
all conducted in english
0 [$ z( [& U. W; ]. n1 G; x; D3 ]" m9 V2 _3 P* T
impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare
& J, q3 N, Z" y  l& {; N1 {) q( }4 u; `: z. l
topic like "environment, biscuit...."9 n' i  P0 y: d2 \- _6 H; |5 C
( @( G  k, L& y
group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
