for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

9 I  r! p7 \0 a" x5 T+ R; p8 rfor the extended interview:

it's divided into 2 sections,
4 D* K/ |: z/ [9 p" o( Z6 K1 is impromptu talk( `- _$ b5 F* j3 b: \: E5 r* Z
another is group discusion: o/ }9 |! k! ]1 I

8 D' {" _5 I! _all conducted in english/ y) q3 q7 A$ M: Q* R  k; e! j

impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare

# z+ U. L0 I/ T* jtopic like "environment, biscuit...."

8 g  v9 v: L9 }6 q% s( ugroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

, O% o6 D( b7 b5 k4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes

! C5 @: e' x0 K6 l  A5 Mthe format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!+ K  J0 r# }/ B9 a, Q. g
