for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

+ m. I# t/ b6 t3 lfor the extended interview:
8 B  x8 S9 T8 p6 \( C  u( w3 }* d. k2 W" E4 H
it's divided into 2 sections,
( l2 }+ U6 R! u1 is impromptu talk2 j$ h; U" V$ \
another is group discusion( P4 e2 K" B/ q, o0 h
# |5 D* y8 Q. V) f# K
all conducted in english
5 S% |/ f, b+ u9 Y2 o5 F+ I" b6 Y, _; E# E& a! b. F
impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare

topic like "environment, biscuit...."
) s6 z3 e$ Y/ `3 J
; c2 }' t! _$ O6 Wgroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

" q* n) }$ U0 E/ M4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!$ m( T; i& y. ]% T( l4 P  @
