for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

for the extended interview:% T1 K5 J: Q# Z( W

it's divided into 2 sections,
4 X; U" e/ a% M: C- R. m! v1 is impromptu talk
; J C0 A. i; o) H; [- }4 n* vanother is group discusion; @7 m. ~9 ]0 b; C+ j1 e
8 ^4 l; }/ i2 x$ f% J3 r. _; hall conducted in english
, p3 l, u! Z# _9 P0 E8 E" P% Q: V- [: c! ~* Y; p6 U4 ~
impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare' O: H& Y( S, W
# F; z# G. F& vtopic like "environment, biscuit...."

9 J6 V7 Z8 C( P' E6 p" mgroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
