for the preliminary interview:9 A% E: Y! i1 @$ z* M  R

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......4 q& i; G) U! b1 X2 O1 d% H3 k" t

for the extended interview:

# ~; x1 x5 N1 v& P# I! B! Qit's divided into 2 sections,
2 m' G8 [/ B9 s& o; r2 N5 E1 is impromptu talk
% q) W/ w( T$ K5 f$ v& x( Ianother is group discusion
0 l' _3 }( Y# b  F2 N" f* z7 S$ S- K* {
all conducted in english

! _/ H, |; M+ D. M, \4 uimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare) @7 F. m1 B( Y/ W0 k0 L+ H

topic like "environment, biscuit...."+ U2 Y* N9 k/ N, N. I

! p: d  i) Y3 sgroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

for final interview:

4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes3 f/ r8 z% J& K7 u$ a2 C5 p+ a: M
$ b( M1 G& j' D3 @) N
the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
