for the preliminary interview:, ?; y3 \- O( _+ G% Y2 f8 s

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......; h+ M, [6 q& o* }- ~

% \8 R2 [9 `- M( q6 U& yfor the extended interview:2 a% N# @" G' Z! B8 r

8 ?- \/ p  v. qit's divided into 2 sections,7 k# L1 p: Z* b( }6 i+ S3 F- O
1 is impromptu talk
: f% b2 b" Y* P' o2 \another is group discusion) p  w( I! H. f* {1 k! h0 @8 f7 K1 T

* c" n4 u; {/ _* C# {; B8 |all conducted in english
/ q2 z  W- F: n0 O6 H1 F" U+ h
7 j  P2 l$ S+ Q5 U. _5 wimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare
# M+ f1 ?' d/ l  B3 c* E1 K  d* w: _9 M8 ?8 u2 Q" E5 V( l# U& B
topic like "environment, biscuit...."

  |' n  m" Y) u+ T6 C# Rgroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

for final interview:

4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes* f% J) t3 G- D6 Y2 R7 p
4 h9 u3 l" F1 @+ }, L- o
the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!+ _) }6 D4 O& @  a% S3 _
