for the preliminary interview:

, j, B. u1 X. I' x1 c1 nthere will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

for the extended interview:: j/ z0 q/ B8 v( E8 s0 H& J
% ~0 w7 L) ^; E, D3 j& x
it's divided into 2 sections,
% p9 D5 ^7 M3 e& d/ ]5 k4 V1 is impromptu talk
. m; s* s6 t3 f a. r6 u2 Hanother is group discusion$ ?& f6 r% L; K4 V5 r0 l3 G6 c

all conducted in english

impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare d0 W# g5 M; F J) S N

topic like "environment, biscuit...."

T) r2 }1 N% g; Sgroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion7 p8 E; d1 H: S

& V b# W D1 q. d e6 pfor final interview:

4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
