for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

for the extended interview:

it's divided into 2 sections,8 H$ Q! W6 n, y6 o1 P+ E
1 is impromptu talk
0 S: s3 u9 C# m. r7 y$ manother is group discusion

8 P5 q& @0 b$ v+ D: u0 P+ ^all conducted in english

- l) R) |1 j! R& R& @9 t- q5 ^, kimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare4 k) ~) Y3 Y2 `7 H' M. O

topic like "environment, biscuit...."/ J( u2 V" P; N* m% S4 ~

group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion% F- W9 ~3 F0 [. {5 l6 _! q
