for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

it's divided into 2 sections,1 b/ |" A5 w* \! k  P6 [+ \$ ^' p6 \
1 is impromptu talk5 W$ ]4 v/ F- M4 @+ f
another is group discusion
% {3 j4 T3 P/ s9 |7 H9 M. P3 f* P$ M0 G7 y- o( N
all conducted in english

: o3 r3 l0 M" T/ e7 S$ e% b  zimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare- Z8 n/ D/ _1 ~1 x

& }) [: \# k9 p/ rtopic like "environment, biscuit...."/ k1 Q. w" G, |  }- e0 I; V
, n( P5 `9 t! ^8 ~6 a& o
group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

& v9 y0 j, s2 w5 @6 @# {; g" h: o0 Dthe format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
