for the preliminary interview:$ r* ?" G; z: O; ]# j

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......* q: o6 E$ Y: q$ A

for the extended interview:
+ s# s7 e' Z1 V# `' u% L# ?- c& U5 ]/ B; S* U- A* H7 N" G
it's divided into 2 sections,
$ F8 Q3 a& Z3 ?1 p/ i# P m1 is impromptu talk) G3 M/ ] l7 y4 |4 a/ p+ @
another is group discusion, F0 v# e1 T# z/ g7 j i* u6 ]
5 D) X Q& p2 R7 t7 |' ~all conducted in english

impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare0 `: x! x3 U8 a* F, h

topic like "environment, biscuit...."
& z( W/ ?) K6 m) |' G: M9 v+ B7 w9 w2 r
group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion0 U% {" e- i! U# m6 H
h# L1 C2 Y/ U. N& ]* k' Q. W, m# R8 v+ T$ f
for final interview:

4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
