for the preliminary interview:
' h9 L5 r8 ]. x" k0 T1 Q* u0 E7 X5 @) N# G9 r$ o+ z
there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

for the extended interview:& T9 h) l: J& _! g6 Q5 h

2 }: e8 g6 ^/ [it's divided into 2 sections,
! ^2 S3 b/ j8 a' L4 n/ u; |1 is impromptu talk
" o7 K3 K# f' manother is group discusion
  h- S, C' Q- T0 U# p# U# X" x, R. [6 M8 g3 Z
all conducted in english. ~% S) M( ~& Z7 o9 _7 S2 q

. T, n# m' G: }/ b* _" aimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare% z2 l/ \1 }* H4 ]9 d6 k9 ]

topic like "environment, biscuit...."/ J, B$ g4 j" w9 \2 a
( j- J' S! d5 z. G6 M6 I
group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion6 a$ e  v2 J0 m$ \  P& O6 P

4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes

# s" n6 I: B. s; W+ B9 C2 _the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
