for the preliminary interview:

& Y5 t, l; S$ Cthere will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

for the extended interview:

3 I, W0 L) {$ [6 z1 O1 _& T# M/ xit's divided into 2 sections,
& _% i8 w3 c5 b9 Q* g$ C6 y/ \9 m* f1 is impromptu talk! w5 o/ l4 b' P" c' L/ C0 f
another is group discusion
# U* }0 H$ r1 k+ S$ }  u, E; r" c! ?5 V, v* X7 c" j+ i
all conducted in english

impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare% M* F6 u* p6 W( _( w9 V0 J- J

topic like "environment, biscuit...."

  E' u/ a) t! S; q7 j3 y5 pgroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion% s" Y7 G* V( c. l  p* y( Y
) u. L/ _2 P- ^& h
/ t& d1 P2 ]2 g' c0 N. W$ Z; t
for final interview:

5 e% c" C% J( w+ [4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes9 h7 T3 ]+ c- q& D& g  @5 e

0 `' [& T" v( D# Bthe format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!! Y8 [; Y; O0 t# g" ]: v
