for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

for the extended interview:

it's divided into 2 sections,/ t# g9 N& j5 ]% j- {
1 is impromptu talk
2 B# V8 K& |1 B% ~another is group discusion
3 C. \! a/ l+ H+ [$ S7 s
5 I1 v9 c, t* Q$ K7 B& wall conducted in english; |8 D, N5 J5 x2 s+ B
# }& s8 i$ f: ~3 Kimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare9 ~5 C7 Z( L" ]; n1 z' Q8 O) |

8 N1 m6 e2 c8 P( a& ]3 H/ Ggroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
