for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

) a3 Y8 g# P3 g- u& y' ffor the extended interview:. O: Q5 Y; F; F6 ]3 n1 r/ t
$ y: M* h7 K# h' R, ^7 Y
it's divided into 2 sections,& J) T% u) @2 c1 d7 l8 G6 ~0 g
1 is impromptu talk) ]- H8 M/ M: T' p
another is group discusion
- m; a3 U% o& Y' x% U2 g/ w8 x* T! X+ J& \* h' ~; N6 I
all conducted in english* Q( u. f  V% Y+ {0 M6 C' y

( x/ ?" S1 h2 q/ l& P$ qimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare
& ]6 ^; v  L# Z/ p& m6 w$ c& s( G: T% R
topic like "environment, biscuit...."; X: }, J5 G( q, E  @9 G

6 K; L4 b9 \( g6 G6 p9 Tgroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes

) g9 Y3 |$ |  |) v7 v: A; D' Q% Ithe format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
