for the preliminary interview:
( f0 C6 P' I/ G, o9 R! k- m5 \9 G8 c+ l' X
there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

" ]4 G2 \. x* d9 g4 Hfor the extended interview:8 W: \5 m0 o! _7 f, [5 u( H
2 ~& _$ m+ W" i
it's divided into 2 sections,0 ~( E- ?* l) ?. S' T
1 is impromptu talk
5 q/ q( u* U/ `: X7 f0 T+ y' janother is group discusion
' y" f' ]2 s, v* W  b0 `. B  |% c- Q+ N2 U7 D# N2 B5 W
all conducted in english0 G$ `4 V* o1 y) y. Q

8 A9 B( R. w' t; ^. x4 Oimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare

1 n4 G7 A( h3 b! ]topic like "environment, biscuit...."7 W) s% L! J) M! I* g0 ]. M/ o0 T
  L8 W: `) G6 n9 [4 X
group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

- R) `4 z( d6 [( R! [/ R; Athe format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!; P8 e5 r) f2 G0 z
