for the preliminary interview:
1 Q$ I: H* i# R: a8 e' e3 }& V( Z' W/ d: D6 q5 c7 t
there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......( t8 n5 L# R4 W. w7 a, |$ m

for the extended interview:
; a& k% s( A8 K( D& z# I/ T9 k. _7 g4 T0 t& Q: P- W* t
it's divided into 2 sections,
8 e9 l8 [4 F$ q0 l: {" y; l1 is impromptu talk
* T) X5 O  b* U) ?& N) fanother is group discusion
8 [4 }8 [& |9 p7 D
7 H. B7 A* q  w3 M3 Q6 N7 xall conducted in english: x3 ?& I8 p* f& w$ X' V

* Y9 |& M# O3 Z  L5 N/ m( _impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare

topic like "environment, biscuit...."9 s& m  O( n9 e0 g7 K3 P

( p- }  }) N- c+ f1 ugroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion) Q. C6 R/ [4 {

for final interview:

4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
