for the preliminary interview:3 \5 {* |- h; u% t8 q9 N
5 n; s  Q7 }, f" W4 n1 C
there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

for the extended interview:
+ L/ Q- H5 U( X) j! X) ]7 w0 i1 a- _9 D% Y8 o0 ]3 ]5 J
it's divided into 2 sections,
7 ~# K. O& Y' Q% i$ d& R# t1 is impromptu talk8 Z" e- R& r& l) G
another is group discusion/ {9 D# a: I* V
9 d0 _) Z- Z. o3 a
all conducted in english
4 E# y7 R/ c- A2 R8 A. @' l6 S  X9 j5 G
impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare

topic like "environment, biscuit...."7 R+ E: `, A5 D4 J: W0 R; K

group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion' W5 h* C- E4 X/ M% e& G- \% m# A( R
. _' W4 W6 f( `9 t4 F+ a* q7 `3 J

for final interview:/ E. O1 t" x; }) k" R  G
- r0 g; ], i  b8 e1 c
4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes

$ X1 h* @% ~; b  \; l2 [& Wthe format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
