for the preliminary interview:

. l8 h% d7 q; O* L/ m: y$ E. pthere will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

for the extended interview:

it's divided into 2 sections,% z9 u) ]9 {# [ B g8 S5 D
1 is impromptu talk! Q. }. g! z3 J6 g2 q+ d$ ]. f
another is group discusion

all conducted in english

1 Z/ m3 d+ v% \- j4 [impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare- I. k" Z$ [7 k! c/ n& j+ O, K
[' n. E/ S. ]; @ z2 otopic like "environment, biscuit...."

group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion6 k! l' [+ ?' z t4 a
0 _" S% s) H; I9 E1 E* g- t) E. n! V- }/ p. Y$ d
for final interview:' \! H8 T- s; L t0 t! a
1 j8 _' l3 m2 w3 c. q' l' x0 U0 C
4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
