Saviola's Real Madrid Move Done - Report
Reports coming out of Barcelona suggest that Javier Saviola's move to Real Madrid is as good as done.
zoom - galleria It seems to be too big a move to be confirmed before the end of the current league season, but what seems to be certain is that an agreement has been reached between Javier Saviola and Real Madrid.
Jose Maria Minguella, a fomer candidate to Barcelona's presidency, reveals that he has been assured that 'The Rabbit' has already signed on the dotted line.
It seems that the player tried to keep it under wraps ahead of the final two games, but news filtered through to the Barca camp, which was why he was not allowed to say 'goodbye' to the Camp Nou on Saturday.
"Somebody should ask why Saviola was not on the bench in such an important game against Espanyol," began Minguella.
"It seems that he has already signed for Real Madrid.
"I was in Madrid for four days, where they confirmed to me that Saviola has signed."
Saviola had been asking for Barcelona's new offer, insisting he wanted to decide on his Camp Nou future before speaking with other clubs. Barca did not help by delaying their offer, but when they did table it, Saviola declared he would also look at other offers giving his answer.
A divorce between the two parties was imminent!
