Zidane said: "My advice to Michael is that he has to be patient. He knew before he joined that Raul and Ronaldo were the main players for this club and that he would have to fight extremely hard for a place, and nothing has changed.

"Michael Owen has many great more years ahead of him and he is playing for the best team in the world, so I would advise him to stay here. He will get his opportunities and he will in my opinion score many goals for this team.
