AL1 means for AL "Air Cond Leyland" "1" means for the first bus

Transbus was combined Dennis, and some bus body companies, like Alexander... to try to establish the bus company..... but failure after 1 year.. so you could see some of the buses that it's saying Transbus Enviro 500. but later on.. it's going back to Dennis Enviro 500 and Alexander body at the back of the bus.

AL1 was coming to HK in 1988 (DX2437) with 245bhp (I remember I took it once in my life on 4/6/1989, you were right, exactly on that day, I was trying to test about the air-cond, with ZF gearbox, Nippondenso air cond, i.e. son of Toyota company)

8 B9 L/ n+ I G8 j1 HAD1 (EL5113) was coming to HK in 1990, with 280bhp, using Voith gearbox, Nippondenso air cond system......

Both of the buses have one system that, they can opened their windows, (of cos they are locked) cos at that stages, not many buses are having "closed windows") i.e. if the air-cond system is failured, they could change back to normal buses... like Dennis Jubilant (N364, CF 4180) and Leyland Guy Victory II (G544, sorry I forget it's plate no.) and MCW Metrobus 11M (S3M145, DP1932) S& \: \% B s
; r7 u/ j/ L( Y( n& `( K$ ]After both of AD1 and AL1 are successful in Hk, KMB started to take orders for these models.... on the same times, Citybus order air-cond Leyland Olympain 11 m with simliar stage.

B. n1 k5 l+ h3 oCMB was starting to order Dennis Dragon on the similar time, you may be wonder that why that's NO any Dennis Dragon in CMB.... there are so many rumours about this: but one of the cloest reasons I could guess it is: think about the chinese name for KMB and Dragon... maybe that's why CMB didn't like it, so in CMB, they change their bus model to Dennis Condor

And for the "realistic" version, only Dennis Condor, Leyland Olympain, Volvo Olympain got opening windows in CMB... (later on, when the First bus bought all Dennis Condor, they were changing back to closed windows) due to ... the noise problem for the opening windows, they would prefer to closed all the windows. so, the First Bus re-established all the former CMB air-cond buses....)
