How about at the hospital?; H! ^! _' W' j! m2 A( \5 m. N
7 B3 K7 ]1 W; x1 e/ ?$ j8 O+ zI touch dead bodies all the time...cancer, surgerical, etc.* T' @$ \, S, n C
4 y0 y8 g/ S- {) h3 T1/2 hr after dead, the body will lose the bounce and starting to feel like cold meat. It's kind of disgusting but after a while I am okay with it.1 h. T) b/ c4 z6 z% f- T

When I touch the deceased, I kept telling myself this is not a person anymore, the person is gone and this (the body) is just the shell. If I know the patient well, I would even quietly say goodbye to him/her before the nurses come and pack him/her up.8 c, }+ ^9 x9 b& P
( J4 l; B0 N* F# W2 e& |The ones with accidents in the ER are really bad, but we're too busy trying to save him/her to pause and think. |
