現在msn要最新版本的，你可以從新安裝最新的 （windows LIVE messenger 14。0.8089.26)然後如果還不行,你可以按他們的system status, 如果再不行，你可以去 www.meebo.com 然後從哪裏進入你的msn

first, check if you computer date and time is current or not.
sometimes if you do not have the correct date and time, msn cannot connect.

No need to use the latest windows Live messenger.
I am also using 8.5 only and it works smoothly without all the dumb features of the latest version.
