Finally one week after having announced that the Ghana star was staying, Chelsea's millions seem to have won the battle on the Essien's tranfer saga.
"We are asking ourselves if the best solution is not letting him go away.We are going to talk about him tonight with Gerard Houllier and take probably this decision, with regrets.Chelsea's offer is really interesting" said Jean Michel Aulas after the 1-1 draw earned by his team at Marseille."Everything has been tempted in order to keep him but we failed to make this a positive thing for the player" has claimed Lyon's president.
The amount of the deal will be higher than Drogba's transfer last year and will surely be around 42 millions of euros.
