Tevez? I was thinking more along the lines of Franck Ribery to replace C7.

I haven't watched a lot of Benzema, so I won't comment on that, but I believe Manchester United is ready for a huge bid on Franck Ribery. To be honest, their frontline of Rooney and Berbatov should be enough, with Tevez on the bench. Ribery would be the closest replacement of Ronaldo there is. Having said that, they could do with some reinforcement on D.

Oh come on, they have an extra 80 million Pounds to spend. That can buy at least 3 top tier players, including Franck Ribery, David Villa and whoever they may be targeting.

Real life situation: If Franck Ribery wants to leave, Bayern will not keep him for another year and let him go as a free agent. In that case, they are extremely likely to sell him and Man Utd will therefore have more bargaining power, though Real and Barcelona are also looking to sign him.

i would rather spend 15m for hunterlaar, or 2x for benzema..

Not a chance. Their best player will have left by the time he gets the 80m and you're saying that he won't be looking for a replacement? You can't just let your best player leave and head into the next season like that. They didn't even win the Champions League with him, suggesting that they need to improve their squad. If Real successfully purchases Ronaldo, they'll have one of the best formations with Kaka and Ronaldo, making it even more difficult for United to win the Champions League. Meanwhile, Chelsea is looking to strengthen their squad to challenge United for the EPL. United will have to spend part of the 80m.
