How about at the hospital?3 s% z, n8 ^0 l/ X# I7 F, h
& }6 P7 Q. k! R7 ^/ h; QI touch dead bodies all the time...cancer, surgerical, etc.
0 l! ~# k1 J# t4 }8 v* u' ~# `) [3 Z0 }0 v* \+ E
1/2 hr after dead, the body will lose the bounce and starting to feel like cold meat. It's kind of disgusting but after a while I am okay with it.: b) L' B0 I; ~" u' F

When I touch the deceased, I kept telling myself this is not a person anymore, the person is gone and this (the body) is just the shell. If I know the patient well, I would even quietly say goodbye to him/her before the nurses come and pack him/her up.% }. s6 _$ k; B7 N; [- ?

The ones with accidents in the ER are really bad, but we're too busy trying to save him/her to pause and think. |
