Auto Decode function automatically detects the sound format
The Auto Decode mode detects the format of the incoming signal from the disc being played and automatically selects the most appropriate surround decoder. Multi-channel sources in Dolby Digital and DTS, formats are automatically decoded and played back in multi-channel surround. For 2-channel sources that include PCM, Auto Decode mode can be configured to select either stereo playback or multi-channel playback with DTS NEO:6 and Dolby Pro Logic II or Dolby Pro Logic IIx (*1).
