I think its more about the mode of art more than 以前 or e+...

Different time has different mode to present the creator's message from an art piece...

For example, in painting we have impressionism, photographic, abstract, etc. The presentation is obviously different but the messages from the artist are more or less the same.

Apply to movie, sex is more or less a tool for the director to deliver the message to his audience, if people keep applying their OWN MORAL judgment into the movie, they will often miss out the real message behind the sex scene.

Last point, if you have can find some time to studied hk movie history on your own, you will find out that there are more nudity and sex scene can be found in old movies than nowadays... Check out some 70s or even 60s... there are some explicit sex scenes that you can never imagine.
