How about at the hospital?( F! p) }0 Q! {5 }; p& t5 T8 [; t
3 {- `" _/ j3 D0 FI touch dead bodies all the time...cancer, surgerical, etc.' I+ i* u0 v+ ^& o
9 V4 `3 q& P% y1/2 hr after dead, the body will lose the bounce and starting to feel like cold meat. It's kind of disgusting but after a while I am okay with it.; T% F- C) H; `

When I touch the deceased, I kept telling myself this is not a person anymore, the person is gone and this (the body) is just the shell. If I know the patient well, I would even quietly say goodbye to him/her before the nurses come and pack him/her up.

The ones with accidents in the ER are really bad, but we're too busy trying to save him/her to pause and think. |
