for the preliminary interview:$ I8 c, N- i1 T8 f1 E

D' Bthere will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......- G; y  B/ B3 t: R

* z" E+ {+ {, J* k1 M+ H  pfor the extended interview:
& N, T& q* r! k( w( o7 ]5 \2 @. V/ q6 E# p9 i* Q  i  o
it's divided into 2 sections,
4 B, W2 d8 }/ F1 is impromptu talk
2 I3 n9 Q; R, F2 c: \/ Y0 _4 [another is group discusion5 }+ G" F7 P+ ?* I7 W0 `- a
( Y; i* s+ f4 Y9 Y& ^6 i
all conducted in english5 E8 ?& t  ~6 @  p- Z

6 U4 F# m8 y) i$ C% A" eimpromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare

4 [1 F# W; F- D8 w8 o, c% N' W8 @  c: q/ utopic like "environment, biscuit...."* D0 B4 A5 y% b! f
& C5 H9 Z% K& S
group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion0 D! |" U0 H" Y. ^8 V3 ]

for final interview:

: h6 e7 r; a4 r  t- L4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes; }3 R( M! S+ D+ p9 [& ^0 i
+ P+ ^8 |: F4 I6 Z5 _" A
the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
