for the preliminary interview:

: i2 c. k# Z) V" u6 b3 gthere will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

for the extended interview:

# Q" e1 f( w/ V* \  Rit's divided into 2 sections,- h5 E3 n- {2 C; T$ H4 @
1 is impromptu talk1 R& t; K4 z; w3 _* W% ]4 p
another is group discusion1 n' S" V" @; Q4 v

7 y* L9 D* V* C2 {all conducted in english
* j: j1 q( b$ ?/ Z# }
9 x$ L0 O& N3 h( P8 A% G* \impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare$ O0 g6 Y9 t# W" z; r" q! o
( W+ [/ w% L! C9 X# ~% Y
topic like "environment, biscuit...."
$ T& }  y; H4 Q# ]' I' n  ]7 x1 k; D" I
group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion' x; X' U2 g* V4 W1 x) g

4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes' y+ R+ R7 k% m1 Z

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!/ b- N4 \1 T9 }7 u; G( z7 w
