for the preliminary interview:! M- B7 f& Z$ s

- t7 ^" D3 Z- W' sthere will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......7 @$ _  N8 s" r/ Y1 I- }; J% Q
$ d1 _: L% z7 B2 V( ]# r. n( j! n
for the extended interview:7 o. d0 F. m" @+ x

$ r( U& \1 ]  _) dit's divided into 2 sections,
- I" m3 i) q" X8 Y" h, p1 is impromptu talk
! A- U4 a# M6 i: a- q. s6 aanother is group discusion8 E0 r4 Z3 G- W$ L9 ?' _/ Y
0 s2 D: [, Y) ^. Z* K' x* U" D! U
all conducted in english
  \! j3 B) l; u/ j+ G6 K! M, y( ~7 Q& q6 o1 R
impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare

& u9 B/ K: c, b# ]topic like "environment, biscuit...."
' G7 n& `4 X1 y% X% F
- M$ S) h' s0 P5 c2 m$ Pgroup discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion0 _- j) `0 s! q- d  I& J9 V1 l0 l/ I

4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes9 r' I0 u- w: O2 L& b, j; K; |

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
