3) Yes, he should be exceptional case, but there is a boundary/limit to which he should be admitted.

and you need to write paper and communicate with others when doing research etc,

Now, it just seem to me like an inflated ego (who don't even go to oral) and a university doing SHOW business, which would probably ruin a talent at the end. |
