I touch dead bodies all the time...cancer, surgerical, etc.

7 B" q# V0 Y2 r( Q" ` Q" \1/2 hr after dead, the body will lose the bounce and starting to feel like cold meat. It's kind of disgusting but after a while I am okay with it.
# J2 ]* v4 q' I) D5 S0 z: I, i, z- f! w' \$ w+ k2 C% B3 c* ]- p
When I touch the deceased, I kept telling myself this is not a person anymore, the person is gone and this (the body) is just the shell. If I know the patient well, I would even quietly say goodbye to him/her before the nurses come and pack him/her up.+ ^# z2 k( P8 t/ I
- W+ P: v3 m+ MThe ones with accidents in the ER are really bad, but we're too busy trying to save him/her to pause and think. |
