其實有時認為政府就業問題呢方面如果做得好d既話,,3 M/ t4 S. Q. b, z
香港自然經濟各方面都好d+ |2 }4 l2 F/ m" E/ ^& }% O
失業率無咁高既話,自然香港人既消費意慾會上升
- d( q% a& o6 b! w但係失業呢個問題又要關注到 薪金方面,0 I6 P! k( z6 _: p1 B
因為以小弟所認識,,大部份飲食業都係缺少人手,

* g' T3 P, X! u' JI believe the actual labour problem would be much worse than this since there is a number of people who are working part time with even lower wages, and a number of people who are unemployed at all.

- h) \3 U; Z9 jWhen I heard the news, the first thing I had in mind was "30 HK dollars is like $4 Canadian dollars......"/ h4 U. m$ u$ r8 U/ U' t1 t
6 o7 A- c8 U6 UOur minimum wage for a full time employee for our province is $9.5 Canadian dollars per hour(probably around 71 HK dollars). So as long as you are full time employed, the employer will needs to pay you $9.5 per hour (even you are just working in McDonalds).

My conclusion is, if HK government doesn't set up a rule for the minimum wage, the basic salary would only get lower and lower because the employers would only push it as low as it can be.% d3 p6 m; i9 C) f7 z

% T% X8 S1 q' h5 f( RLittle bit of my own experience, when I first graduated a few years ago (before the economic crisis), my parents and relatives always ask me to go back to HK to find a job. ( A6 V. [- S$ {1 ~" c4 y1 b: u
They always say like HK has more chances than in North America.

. X: v. {1 v; V3 e+ IHonestly even right now, it would be easier for a person to find a job and get better pay in Canada or even US than in HK. |
