Agent Roger Linse has rubbished suggestions that Ruud van Nistelrooy is leaving Manchester United, after being quoted as suggesting a move to Real Madrid was on the cards.

The Mail on Sunday had an interview with Linse saying that the Dutch striker was keen to impress Real, but van Nistelrooy's agent has now rubbished the story.

"Ruud is happy at Manchester United," Linse told the Manchester Evening News.

"As a matter of fact he is in the process of buying a house in Manchester.

"Previously he had rented but now he is buying somewhere. Why would he buy a house if he wants to leave the club?

"It is just ridiculous. Every year it is the same thing with rumours of Ruud leaving. This story is incorrect."

Van Nistelrooy signed a new deal to keep him at Manchester United until 2008 last
