Comment:

* Colour is too sharp for default setting. (Need fine tune)

* Watching ordinary TV, almost the same quality with other 37" LCD TV (including SHARP). A line doubler should  be added or you need to keep your eyes 2m aways from the screen.

* Watching DVD with provided 色差線 -> Good quality, BUT, the tv always treat my wide screen aspect DVD as 4:3 aspect. Therefore when watching at full/wide screen mode, 黒邊 appears on the upper & lower screen (but no distortion).

* Important!! The TV set doesnt's have a true power on/off switch. Once the cord is plugged, it turns to Standby mode immediately ( = power off mode by remote control).
You need to unplug the socket for true power off. (No spec available from the  manual  about the power consumption at standby mode)

* PC/DVI input => not check.

Overall , 32" LCD may be the best to watch TV and DVD, don't expect you can get more quality with larger screen. This is true for all brands of LCD TVs, unless you have sources of HVD or HDTV.

Later I'll try it with PS2 and PC to see whether it works fine.

I am still considerating Philip 32" (new model with HDMI, around 17000 but I cannot remember the model exactly) / Benq 37". will use mostly for watching TV and play PS2. Any suggestion?

BenQ 37" TV handles 4:3 sources --- just simple, Only upper and lower portions are cut and the rest is enlarged to fill into the panel without image distortion. THUS, ONLY half of "字幕" can be seen.

For my old SONY projector TV, it's much more smarter. All 4 sides of the 4:3 source are cut in proportion -- more for upper & lower side , less for left & right side -- so that "字幕" can be seen without image distortion at full screen mode.

If "睇TV一定要睇到字幕", I don't recommend benQ. I feel it's perfect for wide-screen  soucre ONLY. (Xbox 360, PS3)

Today Try X-box games with benQ 37". Using S-video as input, "新。三国無双３" and "Dead or Alive -- volley ball" are tested ----- really good! In 三国, 多人場面時, 画面清晰冇残映, 夜間場面時,暗位清楚! 玩排球時, d 砂同海就差d, 有noise, 用色差線出可能好d(support 480p).

Game performance seems better than TV performance.....
