for the preliminary interview:

there will be 3 ppl sitting in front of you, (just like a board interview) asking u question relating to current affairs, the government, the immigration department and the reasons why u want to join, and how capable you r to take up that position etc......

for the extended interview:) t; y" l& `$ y

it's divided into 2 sections,0 [* z- d; `: V3 o( `
1 is impromptu talk
) J& T- X# R$ V4 }4 F/ b, ?9 aanother is group discusion
! ?7 R0 a0 L1 ^! m8 I# w; R3 M9 S$ O8 f
all conducted in english

impromptu talk requires u to talk on a particular "word" or "picture" which is randomly choosed for 3 minutes with only a few seconds to prepare

1 G; ~1 h' D% G) H. S5 m0 etopic like "environment, biscuit...."7 ~& Q" q8 B7 t/ }. ]- s @
( }7 T$ j+ Y/ I2 R2 J3 R1 S
group discusion is just like a normal way of discusion, each candidate has a chance to speak for 1-2 minutes, and after the 1st round, those volunteered candidates can talk for some more times to supplement their points or to refute other ppl's point without coming up with a conclusion

: Q3 V5 x4 D- G% v4 ppl sitting in front of you, 1 is secretary only for dropping minutes

the format is just like prelim in, but of course, the requirement to pass is much higher and the questions r much trickier!
