基爾︰仍望收購夏格維斯



曼聯雖然在轉會市場關閉前仍然未能簽下拜仁慕尼黑的夏格維斯，但他們仍然希望在將來可以收購該名英格蘭中場。

「我們對夏格維斯仍然感興趣，我們已經留意他很久。」行政總裁基爾說。

「不過拜仁十分強硬，他們十分希望夏格維斯可以留下來，如果繼續這樣下去我們也很難簽下他。」

「但是，拜仁會方向我們說，如果情況有變，他們會第一時間通知我們。」

「當然，這個情況在一月前都不會發生。」

車路士和阿仙奴在今夏的轉會交易中十分活躍，而曼聯則只簽下了卡域克與古斯錫。

「我們明白到球迷對於今夏球會在轉會市場上的交易不太活躍而感到失望。」

「不過，事實上我們仍有十分充裕的陣容。我們收購球員的目的是為了增強實力，而不是為收購而收購。」

在八月結束前，曾一度有傳曼聯會收購祖雲達斯的查斯古特，不過基爾則否認有些事。另外也重申，在暑假沒有使用的轉會費將會留給費格遜在之後作購買球員用途。

「我們收購球員的政策是看看領隊的需要與及有多少金錢去決定。」

「大家要知道的一點是，我們沒有使用的金錢是會留在遲一點使用，這是不會因為我們沒有收購球員而收回的。」

「這些原本預留了作收購球員的金錢，在將來一定會用作收購更適合的球員用。」

「我們的政策是不會改變的。」

此外，基爾表示將會與朗尼研究延長合約的問題。

朗尼的合約還有四年，他於2004年8月轉會到曼聯時簽下了六年合約。

「他十分希望與我們簽下更長的合約，在未來數月我們會研究這個問題。」

「我們希望他長期效力我們。」

商人︰韋斯咸可超越車路士曼聯



伊朗商人佐拉基安認為，韋斯咸有潛能在2013年取代車路士與曼聯的皇者地位，成為全英格蘭最大球會。

佐拉基安在八月尾替韋斯咸引進了馬斯蘭奴與迪維斯兩名阿根廷國腳。

該兩名球員曾經與曼聯及車路士扯上關係，而最終都落在韋斯咸手中。

而佐拉基安一直都被指會收購韋斯咸，最近會方也承認會研究有關事項。此外，佐拉基安的朋友，格魯吉亞商人柏特加斯夫里也承認了對收購韋斯咸感興趣。

佐拉基安向《世界新聞報》說︰「我相信在不久將來，韋斯咸可以比車路士更強大，甚至可以在七年內超越曼聯的地位。」

「我認為領隊柏德魯可以帶韋斯咸進入一個新境界，能夠為球隊打入歐冠杯賽事，更有機會挑戰錦標。」

「曼聯是一個例外，就像皇家馬德里一樣於世界各地擁有強大的根基。但為何韋斯咸不可以﹖因為球會擁有很多激情的球迷，也有過十分輝煌的歷史。韋斯咸的球迷基礎比車路士更龐大。」

「在過去的歷史，三名英格蘭世界杯冠軍成員，卜比摩亞、靴斯及彼德斯都是效力韋斯咸的。」

「毫無疑問，馬斯蘭奴及迪維斯的加盟，可以使球隊的實力增強。」

佐拉基安 (Kia Joorabchian) 為伊朗商人，以他為首的「媒體運動投資」 (Media Sports Investment，簡稱 MSI) 以倫敦作為總部，曾經在上年計劃以二億鎊收購韋斯咸。

而在 2004 年，MSI 收購了巴西球會哥連泰斯百分之五十一股權。哥連泰斯也即是馬斯蘭奴與迪維斯的前度球會。

與此同時，迪維斯也對於在英格蘭的職業生涯十分有信心。

「眾多希望簽下我的英格蘭球會，韋斯咸最能夠給予我機會。」迪維斯說。

「其他希望簽下我的球會，與我相同位置的球員已經有三至四個。」

「我需要的是，能夠盡快適應英格蘭的比賽節奏。」

「現階段我不擔心效力一間比以往更大的球會。」

Manchester United summer signing Michael Carrick claims the prospect of Champions League football was a 'massive factor' in his decision to join the club.


The former Tottenham midfielder, who cost £18.6million, could only watch when United demolished Fulham 5-1 in the opening match of the season after picking up an ankle injury in the pre-season clash with Ajax.

'I've come here to win things but everyone expects us to do that,' he said.

'The squad believes we're capable of it. Whatever competition Manchester United are in, we're always going to be contenders. Champions League, Premiership, FA Cup, Carling Cup - we're always looking to win them. That's the big attraction.

'Playing in the Champions League was a massive factor in coming here. To be able to take part in some of of the huge games I've watched on the telly in the past is very exciting.

'It's another test, going up against the best in the world, It really is the highest level. Some say Champions League games are on a par, if not better, than the World Cup. I can't wait to be part of it,' Carrick said in `Inside United' - the official Manchester United magazine.

Carrick added: 'This is one of the biggest clubs in the world and to play in that stadium every week is going to be a great experience. The expectation and the belief within the squad are so high.

'I'm looking forward to being part of it, improving my game and becoming a better player. It's exciting times.'

He admitted he first heard about the possibility of the move to United while on World Cup duty in Germany.

'Obviously I had a little chat with the United lads who were out in Germany but there wasn't a lot anyone had to tell me about the club.

'As soon as I heard there was strong interest and the clubs were talking I was desperate to come. No-one could have changed my mind.'

"When you're recovering from injury you spend a lot of time on your own and it's the little things you miss," he says. "You miss the dressing room banter. You miss the preparation for the games, the adrenaline you get the night before a game and the way you feel eating your pre-match meal. I've been training for the last two years, it's not like I've been sat on my backside doing nothing, but it's the preparing for and playing games that I really missed."

If he carry on his form and keep performing, this could be one of the biggest come back in a while~~ he also scored a brace for norway few days ago.
