I touch dead bodies all the time...cancer, surgerical, etc.

! a2 S0 u. A. `+ r; e' c1/2 hr after dead, the body will lose the bounce and starting to feel like cold meat. It's kind of disgusting but after a while I am okay with it.5 L7 Q9 u$ I, ^/ ?7 w6 C

When I touch the deceased, I kept telling myself this is not a person anymore, the person is gone and this (the body) is just the shell. If I know the patient well, I would even quietly say goodbye to him/her before the nurses come and pack him/her up.. a5 O, L9 v' n) b. X" z7 u. r( p
) }1 q: l' i3 K& D2 I1 N, TThe ones with accidents in the ER are really bad, but we're too busy trying to save him/her to pause and think. |
