+ s }% V7 n1 D9 g( O! H$ R3 F- rI touch dead bodies all the time...cancer, surgerical, etc.+ ]! e1 ?% V) [- L, [
% a/ K o# o5 h! D1/2 hr after dead, the body will lose the bounce and starting to feel like cold meat. It's kind of disgusting but after a while I am okay with it.. D _% c" g: o& c! m: A1 v
F. n0 T' L+ l# r6 \7 p9 qWhen I touch the deceased, I kept telling myself this is not a person anymore, the person is gone and this (the body) is just the shell. If I know the patient well, I would even quietly say goodbye to him/her before the nurses come and pack him/her up.

The ones with accidents in the ER are really bad, but we're too busy trying to save him/her to pause and think. |
