How about at the hospital?; r) Y2 O" ?( N
8 t% w6 w; f. A6 ?) z5 xI touch dead bodies all the time...cancer, surgerical, etc.; e3 \9 i2 n5 {( s! s, Y4 N
# s4 Q- ~% C2 F3 }( t7 t3 ^1/2 hr after dead, the body will lose the bounce and starting to feel like cold meat. It's kind of disgusting but after a while I am okay with it.

When I touch the deceased, I kept telling myself this is not a person anymore, the person is gone and this (the body) is just the shell. If I know the patient well, I would even quietly say goodbye to him/her before the nurses come and pack him/her up.

The ones with accidents in the ER are really bad, but we're too busy trying to save him/her to pause and think. |
