if you have someone to drive you to GO station at Kennedy and 407 or up to Town Centre Blvd... it may be faster.... . I: u# Q5 g; @& J% V- b

usually a friend of mine goes to GO station at Kennedy and 407 for GO Bus to York University....
3 f: D% H7 A- C: I" eYork Region has a new Bus route from Town Centre Blvd ( Warden and Hwy7) and goes  to York University as the last stop... i don't know the fare of that, because i used to drive myself to York University.....

try to look for these method, it may be faster by a bit.... but i am a bit outdated, you better research it....

it shouldn't take you 2 hours to get to York....  n+ S" a$ O) z* p3 e  {
I use the same way as you to get to York too
