:.... note:  it takes 2 hours of driving from my house to york...

i take the bus... 53.... and change to 60.... and arrive to york...# E, X, Y& |8 U

if you have someone to drive you to GO station at Kennedy and 407 or up to Town Centre Blvd... it may be faster.... 3 }- I9 n# O  Z5 E8 ~3 Z+ {; m

usually a friend of mine goes to GO station at Kennedy and 407 for GO Bus to York University....
' Z: z8 W$ g2 r6 r# p  f9 V3 YYork Region has a new Bus route from Town Centre Blvd ( Warden and Hwy7) and goes  to York University as the last stop... i don't know the fare of that, because i used to drive myself to York University.....9 \! s$ R1 g$ e

try to look for these method, it may be faster by a bit.... but i am a bit outdated, you better research it....1 W; e! Q9 c8 g- ^

it shouldn't take you 2 hours to get to York....8 {# a8 a; \$ |+ N! g! w6 r3 J
I use the same way as you to get to York too
