there should be an extra pop up just below your Internet Explorer address bar by the time you see this error message
+ {; a7 g' F3 I8 C; e4 V$ q- {" J- w6 S5 Y
right click that pop up and choose "allow"
/ ]3 V' D# ]! K$ O9 p  G( W" `0 H3 K' b
then you can see the active x item
