I think the most important is the graphic card, and 256Mb Geforce performance is very very good.
I am using centrino only 32Mb graphic card and 512 Mb ram but already fast enough and stable.
usually, all new notebooks have one yr international warranty and must cover US ga la. However, Dell notebook may get more problems than other brand computers.

mon 12 inch is too small la
u will find it is very hard to draw CAD with a small mon soon !
It is highly recommand to use 15" mon !!

First priorty, toshiba / fujitsu / MACBOOK (the price is very good and best for design ppl !!!!!)
second priorty, samsung / IBM (high mobility)
.... then dell

係dell 個網到買notebook，選保養那裏ｄ細節絕對係寫得唔清唔楚。
當初我買時，去ｄｅｌｌ 個陳列室到問ｄ ｓａｌｅｓ先知好多細節野係古靈精怪，仲要個個ｐｌａｎ 唔同。 有ｄ有全球有ｄ 又冇
