Ambitious Ajax target Davids

Danny Blind is looking to pull off a major coup in the summer by convincing Edgar Davids to return to Ajax.
The tenacious midfielder departed the Amsterdam ArenA to join Milan in 1996 after winning the UEFA Champions League with the Dutch outfit.
Since leaving Davids has matured into one of the game's most iconic figures, although is expected to leave Internazionale in the summer after finding himself out of favour with coach Roberto Mancini.
With a host of Europe's top clubs reportedly tracking the 32-year-old, including Manchester United, Chelsea and Roma, Blind will have his work cut out to land the Dutch international.
Ajax have had a disastrous season by their own lofty standards as they currently lie fourth in De Eredivisie, and Blind is looking to bring in experienced players such as Davids to help his young squad succeed in the next campaign.
The man who replaced Ronald Koeman in the Ajax hot-seat has drawn inspiration from champions-elect and rivals PSV Eindhoven, who managed to convince seasoned midfielder Philip Cocu to return to the club in the summer after a spell with Spanish giants Barcelona.
"Looking to next season we need experienced players such as [Davids]," Blind told De Telegraaf.
"You can take PSV as an example and see what experience can do with a team.
"When it will be a player with an Ajax past it's only an advantage."
