How about at the hospital?! J8 m: h8 ~ c0 O( y, H2 y% Y6 J+ X
* k6 e0 i& w" y8 k. T' XI touch dead bodies all the time...cancer, surgerical, etc.
+ T8 x) |, \8 a+ Z5 h: e% H. r" ?3 X) X$ F; L# k: W5 u
1/2 hr after dead, the body will lose the bounce and starting to feel like cold meat. It's kind of disgusting but after a while I am okay with it.# d5 K5 W: a- v( d$ z& E; ~. v6 b

When I touch the deceased, I kept telling myself this is not a person anymore, the person is gone and this (the body) is just the shell. If I know the patient well, I would even quietly say goodbye to him/her before the nurses come and pack him/her up.

The ones with accidents in the ER are really bad, but we're too busy trying to save him/her to pause and think. |
